Since 2016 I've shared this picture at some point in October in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, but I didn't think that I would be sharing it to honor you, in addition to our moms, in 2021.

"What was LIFE like in October?"

"I was thankful for every day even though I was sick. Life was fun honoring Breast Cancer Awareness Month. I loved to see the survivors and hear their stories. But life was stressful, too. It was difficult and challenging. Running back and forth to the doctor every other day was tiring. I hate taking treatments, but I love seeing my nurses and feeling the love they show each visit." - Calandria

After you shared the news, I dropped out of my chair and down to my knees, and immediately handed it over to God. At that very moment, I knew it was something that I couldn't handle. So, I decide to hand it over to our Father each day. In my natural, excuses arise and try to serve as my reason for not being able to conquer this fight with you, but I have decided that I am a PRIMARY participant in this fight and I stand with you. If the load becomes too heavy, I will stand for you, without subtracting any of the lessons that are being made for your good during this time.

Once you were old enough to completely express yourself and after listening to me preach to you on most days :), I knew that "something" had to happen in order for you to realize that life is actually real life, you only get ONE life to live, one life to learn who God is, one life to choose to be obedient, and one life to be who you so desperately desire to be (UNMASKED) -- because your responses were always soooo vague (in my voice: example?) :) If anybody can hide behind a mask (PRE COVID), it's you. This fight is shifting your entire life, and we believe that the BATTLE is won! I can't wait to see the life, beauty, love, submission, and gratuity that derives from this boxing ring.

And that's what's so marvelous about serving a God like ours! He loves us so much and is so powerful that he can position us to where the only thought we can think is "God, you are good!", and at the same time, still give us the choice to choose Him - because he has already and will always choose us.
